Consumers in today’s marketplace want to be informed  –
and nowhere is that more important than in the food we buy.

As consumers, we all have an interest in knowing:

• The nutritional benefits are of the foods we buy;

• The food we purchase is safe and of a high quality;

• The flocks that account for our eggs, chicken and turkey are receiving the proper care; and

• That individuals involved in bringing these products to market are good stewards of the land and responsible members of our communities.

Poultry and egg producers also are consumers –
and we share the same concerns.

That is why the Ohio Poultry Association, which represents more than 600 egg, turkey and chicken producers, is the go-to information resource for Ohio consumers and producers regarding food and animal safety, animal welfare, environmental responsibility and community involvement issues.

We also give consumers what they want:

• Great recipes for eggs, chicken and turkey;

• Tips on food handling, preparation and storage; and

• Educational ideas for incorporating farm and food issues into the classroom.

From the producers we serve and consumer needs we meet, to the flocks we tend and the communities we call home –
